Zohran Mamdani Promises a 'New Era' for NYC in First Address
In a first day in office, Zohran Mamdani pledged to “reinvent” New York City, promising “a fresh chapter” and an bold beginning to his tenure.
A Groundbreaking Leader
The young figure, who was a relatively obscure state assemblyman, now stands as the city's first mayor born in Africa. He also made history by being the inaugural to be sworn in using the Qur'an.
